The week in brief

The fifth edition expanded to two more regions and, for the first time, drew sponsors beyond HDIF and COSTECH. Supporters included the Digital Impact Alliance (DIAL), Vodacom Foundation, Tanzania Data Lab (dLab), the Embassy of Switzerland and FastHub.

Innovators, entrepreneurs, the private sector, funders, government officials and academics came together for events and exhibitions on social innovation, including health and water, sanitation and hygiene.
