The week in brief
The ninth edition ran under the theme Innovation for a Competitive Economy and was organised by COSTECH with regional partners. It was an inclusive week that welcomed everyone from primary and secondary school students to public and private institutions, and it put the spotlight on funded, market-ready innovations.
Regional editions were led by local hubs and universities in places including Arusha, Mbeya, Morogoro, Mwanza, Mara and Zanzibar, with a Dar es Salaam programme from 19 to 21 April that opened with a drone technology day. The main national exhibition took place in Dodoma from 24 to 28 April, where an estimated 8,000 citizens visited the exhibition area.
